I was born, raised, and love living in Pittsburgh. After working in the corporate world for over 35 years as a web and UX designer, technical writer, and software instructor, I decided that it was time for a life of less stress and more fun! In 2016, I was fortunate to be able to take an early retirement and discovered a latent passion for painting.

Since I began painting for the first time in 2017, I've been growing and evolving; so, I find inspiration in things that grow and evolve—flowers, trees, and my favorite city, Pittsburgh. With no formal training in art, my process is experimental. I break all the rules because I don’t know them. Acrylics and oils—yes. Spray enamel, foam brushes, and found objects—why not?

With no education in painting, I was thrilled to receive a scholarship in 2017 as an Emerging Artist for the Three Rivers Arts Festival and have participated each year through 2022. In 2019, I was showcased by the Pittsburgh Beautiful website as one of five artists to visit.

I’ve exhibited in various other local art shows, been the in-house artist at various venues in the Pittsburgh area, and had my artwork purchased for use on television shows on Netflix, CBS, and CBS All Access (now Paramount+). I also was invited to join the artist residency program at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in March 2022 and May 2023.
